    Animating Meshes In Game

Is it possible to animate a mesh so that it plays an animation sequence and alters its collision box.

    Ex.
An escape pod door opens, the player enters, the door closes, and the pod is ejected using matinee.

Sure. That is what SkeletalMeshActors are for.

Well, it won't alter the collision. But individual bones can have collision hulls assigned to them that will move with the bones. I'm not sure that is possible with a solely vertex animated mesh.

Also you cannot have concave collision models, but you can opt for collision per poly. Using multiple collision models that form an enclosure will work, think several sheets of olywood, each sheet an indiviula collision model (UCX), and the "doors" being two seperate shhets that have bones assigned to them.

Of course in matinee this is may all be moot, turn off collisions and just translate stuff around as keyframed movers...

Aye i think i'll use a combination of static mesh interpactors and a seperate one for the door.
